Alternate title.

"Captain, I dropped the anchor on a turtle".

Some people think it is a turtle riding an anchor. Some people think it has something to do with a football team that has a turtle mascot.
Two my Japanese friends know exactly what is going on. The rest of your crude people can go jump.
By the way my, turtle lack proper names. Any suggestions?

Before I started reading montalk.net... I would've had no clue what any of this means or represents. Since, I'm privileged to see this within your piece emlong.
Thank you. I must say that I'm getting addicted to seeing you make them.

You could call him (or her) Great A'tuin, after Terry Pratchett's discworld turtle. The discworld is carried on the backs of four elephants which ride on the back of Great A'tuin. Terry offers 2 theories of cosmogeny:

The "steady gait" theory, which states that Great A'tuin has always swum through the universe as he does now and always will.
The "big bang" theory, which states that the universe began with a tremendous bang, involving 2 turtles getting it on in an impressive cosmic interlude.

Great A'tuin, emlong?

Ruth
