This metal confusion has probably been my #1 stumbling block to digging in and getting my hands dirty with creating orgonite. I always need to do things 'right'. I am still trying to sort through the particulars. I had always been highly confused by the use of aluminum.

My sort of AHA moment came when I purchased a negative ion generator (this one - http://www.lightair.com/products/signature/1534857-signature-webshop ) and it had a cuff of aluminum around the middle that shocks EVERY time you touch it. I think I had been confusing magnetism with electricity. An electrical shock creates negative ions (good things!). So magnetism is not what necessarily attracts....energy(?)

Gold - most HIGHLY conductive. Low magnetism.
Silver - HIGHLY conductive. Low magnetism.
Copper - HIGHLY conductive. Low magnetism.
Aluminum - HIGHLY conductive. Low magnetism.
Iron - Low conductivity. HIGH magnetism

Interesting info here, but not sure what to do with it (hoping a chemist is on the forum!)
Gold, Silver, Copper, & Iron are all 'transitional metals'
Gold, Silver, & Copper all line up under the same Group #11 Smile
Iron and Copper line up in the same period #4
Aluminum is considered a 'poor metal' or 'pre-transition metal' or 'alkaline metal'. Group 13. Period 3.

I did read that some people were having good results with iron filings. I wonder if this is due to the fact that our blood has much iron in it? Resonance??

Many thanks to anyone who can help me sort through the confusion of metals that are used in orgonite!

Why don't you just try to make some with the cheaper metals that you listed and any other cheap metals you can get a hold of and see which one feels best to you? Nothing trumps experience when you haven't even tried anything at all yet.

I made some on Saturday, but it was a 'failure', I think, due to the diamond dust. Too strong? And not enough metal. Anyway, it creates agitation for me.

Unfortunately, my right brain and my left brain both want an equal part in this project. Hence, I have to placate the left brain and post questions that deal with subjects like this metal confusion.

I do love copper, so I think I'll start there and make a simple one. Resin, copper, and a crystal.

BB's are ok to use? I like the uniformity, but are they a recommended metal source and proper shape?

Prevenger,

You're asking a lot of good questions. To search the site we've found it's most effective to Google"Warrior Matrix+ aluminum in orgonite" (for example). The site also has a search function- look under the WA in Warrior at the top of the page. I'm ashamed to admit how long it took me to notice it Confused

Your questions about metal have been answered many times. The information here is the result of our personal experience. Sensei does have the scientific background you asked about, and you can read the information he's posted by adding "+ Sensei" to your question.

Alumina is a very common molecule in the general environment. Clay is largely alumina - so are ceramics. If aluminum was putting out bad vibrations the earth would have shriveled up in a funk billions of years ago. Please ignore all of these armchair orgoniteers that litter the internet. This is easy. You are making it way too hard, pre Venger.
