I'm a firm adherent to the idea that our subjective reality is generated from our own thoughts/mindset/beliefs projected out and woven into the "objective" reality, which is the sum of the beliefs held by others in this physical dimension on this timeline. For this reason, I've always viewed ritual as merely a tool for setting mindset/thoughts in an organized way. In other words, there is no 'magic' in the ritual itself.

Any thoughts on this? I've started doing the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram and have found it fairly powerful, so I'm tempted to explore further, but I'm not sure if it would be limiting or liberating on the whole.

Don't think I'd ever want to use someone elses ritual. I'm just not that trusting. I'm also just not into ritual.

The world is full of life, full of consciousness. If I would like help, I just ask. Something like this:

"Any and all beings from any time, space, or dimension who love this beautiful world and the creatures in it and would like to see her healed, I request assistance with...............and may the results be even better than I expect."

The good guys need to be asked. They respect your free will. The bad guys don't.

This morning I asked for gifting opportunities- better than I could imagine. I got them Very Happy

Believing, the LBRP is a good start to banish off what you don't want into your life with your mind!

Orgone is poured with the heart and the mind!

Ritualising is about creating energy with your own will, pouring orgonite is as getting a ritual automated, see what it takes for priests, archbishops in cathedrals to get people happy during the ceremony, well how do you feel with several HHG's at home on an afternoon Very Happy

So, that one day you gain more confidence and become a real natural like Ruth is explaining!

I have a friend who is Catholic, that mentioned to me he told his priest he wanted to be a White Wizard.

Lol, I thinks to myself, didn't he know they used to barbecue people like these?

There is something in particular about orgone energy that seems to want to disregard ritual. It doesn't seem to inspire ritualizing in people very much. It just is in and of itself and just wants to be - no other commentary or editorializing required. Ritual is important, and a lot of what we do in our daily lives is ritual, but orgone energy just is. It's hard to put a finger on what I feel about orgonite. It is very unique. I have often thought about what would happen if someone dark and nefarious tried to direct orgone energy towards an evil outcome. I don't see how it could be commandeered for such purposes.

I agree with this. I used to be into rituals, and tried to perform the LBRP regularly (and failed, because I am bad at doing anything regularly, seems I am allergic to routine. Still did it quite a few times though). It was pretty effective, I found.

These days though, I am not so much into ritual. If I want to achieve something or work on a certain area of my life, I have found that the most effective way is to remove resistance to my goal. Resistance in the form of fear, anger, irritation, any negative emotion really. When I have less resistance in my thoughts and emotions, I don't even really need to do anything, life just gets more magically wonderful. Orgonite helps a lot in releasing resistance.

I think rituals can be very helpful though. I remember reading about people's experiences with the LBRP and one person stated that eventually, the ritual became internalised enough that all he needed to do was focus his mind into an LBRP "state", and he gained the results of the ritual without performing the whole thing. So in this way, rituals can be amazing training wheels.
