Looked for stuff to make an earth pipe. Home Depot doesn't have any copper pipe bigger than 1". Can't afford to buy copper pipe anyway. I found a 6" steel/galvanized connector piece that is about 1 3/4" or so diameter, maybe 2". Would that work?

Take a look at aluminum fence posts. Aluminum pipe is cheaper, lighter, and easier to cut.

Can't find any aluminum fence posts except the black, square ones and they cost 3x as much as a 2" steel one.

Aluminum scrap is fifty cents a pound at my local recycling center. Used scrap pipe is not rare. Do you have a local center? You can probably find copper and steel pipe cheaper there too.

This is a big city. The recyclers are big operations that just buy. I haven't found much willing to sell bits and pieces. Takes a lot of time on the phone just to get a no. I had a 40 mile drive across town to get my steel bits.

Probably the plumber's / electrical supply store has some steel or iron pipes, altho i know plumber's don't use lead pipes anymore, so are iron pipes are the best choice for earthpipes & what section of Home Depo do they keep them at?

Is the point of an earth pipe to be inductive bc the outer metal shell forms a kind of coil?

Don't inductive pieces need lead or steel or iron bc copper n aluminum don't stick to magnets?
