On September 7th, I made a wonderful piece of extra special orgonite that's been 5 years in the making and lots of $$$ on supplies since I had big ideas back then. I had purchased lots of crystals from different Ebay sellers, copper and brass, resin from US Composites (never again!) and other special items on Ebay including gold shavings, .999 silver bullion, gold and silver wire.

I wrapped blue kyanite, selenite, Lemurian seed crystal and aquamarine with tourmaline in gold wire. I experienced serendipity on September 7th. When I discovered than my US Composites resin hardened, I had to go buy resin and I Googled Michael's Craft and found they carried it. I was able to get the 1 bus in the evening that took me to Michael's 10 minutes later and I reconnected with a bus driver friend I hadn't seen in years and got a free ride. At Michaels, I purchased Casting Craft brand: 16 oz for $22, 2oz catalyst for $13 and I got a $11 discount from the wonderful teen sales clerk. I then hailed a bus back home and the driver was someone I'd worked with many years ago. I thanked God for all of this.

I then got to work creating my one-of-a-kind orgone piece and got it done before midnight.

I had a 3d printed rubber mold that cost me $98 but the company didn't print the size correctly so I decided to use a cylinder-shaped glass mug I purchased from Vinny's thrift store a few days ago and it was the exact diameter I wanted. This was the 1st time I went to Vinnys that they had the size I wanted and I've been searching for over 1 year.

Anyway, I created my orgonite and layered it with copper, silver, gold, crystals, gold, silver, copper (in this order). I used 2 rings of baby tourmaline crystals at bottom and top of crystals because it sends out any negativity back to sender if from psychic or etheric attack -- I initially planned to only use one layer of tourmaline but while creating orgonite I decided to use 2 layers. I know that blue kyanite and selenite keeps crystals clear and charged. Plus selenite ensures that no ingredient collects and holds negativity. I have a lot of crystals in my orgonite and the crystals are sandwiched between the metal layers as intended. I was told by an orgonite seller that you want 3 different kinds of metal and you want at least 1/3 metal in the whole piece. Now, because of the way the gold shavings shrunk I wish that I had used brass I had but it requires cutting up.

I'm quite proud of my orgonite piece which is now cured and waiting to be released from its glass mug. How do I break the glass with a hammer without damaging the resin? I could do the ice test afterwards. I pray that my extra special orgonite passes the ice test.

Never owned a heat gun. Can I use the stove top flame? If yes, could you share instructions on how to do this? Thanks.

Have to ask- have you tried freezing it? Freezing and thawing it a couple of times- or maybe 3 with really stubborn pieces- will usually loosen it up.

Is the glass smaller at the top? If so, breaking it may be the only option.

OK. I used the hammer and the glass broke quite easily.

The bottom resin is sticky and I just read http://www.warriormatrix.com/viewtopic.php?t=15012 so if it doesn't dry I'll use car wax. I had signed off on using US Composites because resin expired before I was able to use it again but moderators here highly recommend it.

Got a picture ? It sounds interesting.

Glad the hammer worked. Not too hard if possible so as not to drive glass into the orgonite surface.

Heat gun is the method of last resort. It works especially well with metal pans.

Ruth is right about freezing.

The orgonite is soft on the bottom and I can still smell the resin -- it's 7 days since I created it. Also, on the bottom, some of the metal is exposed. I'm really concerned now.

My problem is that it has a short shelf life since I used Casting Craft and not US Composites polyester resin so the orgonite will break down within a couple of years or so. I really regret this.

Should I cast a layer of US Composites resin around the entire piece so that it's hardened and will remain encased without further damage/breakdown? How will US Composites resin stick to Casting Craft resin?

Or should I use the acetone to dissolve the orgonite and salvage ingredients that Ruth suggested in another post at http://www.warriormatrix.com/viewtopic.php?t=14976 ? This means I'll have to recreate this with more $$$ for the gold shaving, .999 silver bullion and other ingredients. Plus I have to find a cylindrical mold that will work. Or find someone who'll help me fix this problem. Either way, it'll cost money but I want to salvage my orgonite. And I still haven't manifested the things I wanted.

Due to the condition of the resin, I wonder if freezing it will work? The freeze thaw cycle could damage it even more.

I did the ice test on my orgonite and a pyramid I had special ordered and they both had a bump in the frozen glass of water. The control didn't have any bump. I'll see if I can post pics.

I feel sure that you can salvage this and even make it better. Cure in the sun for a few days and silmar even another layer of Casting Craft will likely work. Please post a picture if you can (or email it to me and I will post it) so I know what we are dealing with. Prepping the surface properly is essential.

What did you use for lubrication in the glass mold ?

I emailed you pics at orgonecrystals email address: subject heading is "orgonite repair help pics".

No lubrication used on glass. OK, I will add a layer of Simlar 41 from US Composites when I have the money. I appreciate your help and everyone's imput because I'd really like to salvage my orgonite creation and get it working better too. :O

Today I found the the perfect cylindrical plastic mold for the 2nd layer with Simlar 41 at the thrift store for 0.60 cents. The current size is approx. 2.7 inches in diameter x 1.5 inches in thickness.

Do I need to lubricate the plastic mold? If yes, can I use olive oil? What to use? I'd like be be able to reuse this if possible.

Do Not use a plastic mold ! The resin will bond permanently to many plastics, even when lubricated. (Olive oil is fine for use in glass and metal molds).
