Hello all
I have made orgonite for the first time
And I mixed some epoxy resin with the hardener, I used too little hardener on the top of every orgonite piece so ir didn't harden well, and is still liquid and smells, even after 2 weeks.
Down to the middle and the bottom are well hardened because I added enough hardener.
But the top (which upside down was the lowest and first to pour) remains soft and sticky, gelatinous.
How can I fix that so it hardens and doesn't smell?
Thank you.

You are screwed.

Start again.

If not hardened after 2 weeks (in the sun ?) likely it never will ...and will always pick up fingerprints and dust. Sometimes you can "double dip" a piece by pouring clear resin in the same mold and putting the piece in to get a thin clear coat.

You may, as an alternative, break it out of the glass/mold ( if not already out). Wipe away all uncured resin (if still liquid enough to) and use what is left for the core of a new piece that you can pour in a slightly larger mold.

Good time for a mistake. This way you will not make that mistake on a more complicated piece in the future.

Pouring a layer of orgonite that does not harden completely = a real orgonite maker....welcome to the club !

(Post some pictures, so the rest of us can feel better about our past mistakes, LOL).

Thanks for the heads up, I was thinking the same thing, just had to be sure.

So I did it, added another layer of reinforces resin (with lots of hardener) on the bottom of the same moulds, and pushed the old orgonites in, it worked. Doesn't stink anymore and is solid. Added a thin layer of resin on top. Broke a martini glass and a funnel in the process, but it turned out ok. No pics sorry, my phone is crap from the 2000s. )
