So, on the surface it seems like everything went down without a hitch. Warrior Matrix has just been upgraded to the newer, more secure version of phpBB. Everything should look and act the same, if not better. Most of the changes were made to the server-side code as well as some database improvements. For more info:

http://www.phpbb.com/support/documents.php?mode=changelog

Please let me know of any negative, or positive for that matter, behavior and I will do what I can.

Thanks, Scott! RSS feed has not been working for me today.. is that just temporary or something that needs work?

The solaris theme is hard on my eyes, unfortunately, but my initial impression was WOW. Cool and dramatic Smile.

I'm getting an XML parse error when accessing RSS with the Sage plugin for Firefox. It was working with WM when I checked it about 8 hours ago. The embedded link for the current RSS says

http://feeds.feedburner.com/WarriorMatrix

and reveals

Template->make_filename(): Error - file rss_body.tpl does not exist

The properties for my Sage WM RSS link is

http://www.warriormatrix.com/rss.php

Okay, the news feed is fixed.
The Solaris theme did not have the rss_body.tpl file in it's folder. Thanks for pointing this out.

gee, wow! it looks really cool. i don't mean to be a downer, but trying to read ANY color against a BLACK background is reallllllllllly hard on my eyes. i noticed someone else mentioned the hard on the eyes thing too.

i'm very sorry to say that i can't look at it for long and won't be able to linger here if you keep it black from now on.

what was wrong with the pretty BLUE and the dolphins? so pleasing and calming....so nice to look at. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

i hope i haven't offended you guys!

Linda,

In case you didn't see yet where Scott explained it.. The Solaris theme is the default now, but when you log in, you can go to Profile and reset the board style to Night Dolphins.

Do stick around Smile.

Thanks Karen. Smile I do have it set to Night Dolphins, but I don't usually log on when I just come here to read posts. But, now I'll have to ... if I don't want my eyeballs to melt out of my head... Wink

Linda,

As Terry mentioned, the RSS news feed solves a bit of the problem because you don't have to visit the forum to check for new messages. I use the Google personalized home page to get the news feed from this forum, very easy to set up. It shows the subject of each new forum post as a link to that post.
