After being a member of this forum for over a couple of years, I?ve been wondering for a long time and have searched the forum website for any general ?rules and guidelines? that members should follow, only to find little or none.

I came across some posts that appear inappropriate in content. Then again I may be overanalyzing or dissecting each post to the point of taking anything personally. I suppose I care too much about someone else?s puppy (i.e. website) to let too much nonsense get out of hand.

While I do no advocate ?babysitting? members for misbehaving, ?holding someone?s hand? to validate his or her reality or stifling creativity or humor to conservative limitations, I have observed how the moderators and forum members support each other both in the public arena and via PM.

I suppose all is well so far without any need for some sort of formal public ?agreement?. I would like to suggest the top ten commandments of ?Thou Shalt Dos and Don?ts? posted in this website or at least a ?Contact Us? section somewhere on the bottom of the main webpage.

I think one that comes up a lot is questions that can easily be answered by simply reading back a bit through the forum, as it's probably been addressed on numerous occasions.

A second is not to trust Don on everything, as he says stuff offhand which is sometimes wholly inaccurate.

Third, it's probably advisable, though not needed, to read the adventures of Don and Carol -- one can pick up a heck of a lot of periphery information/beliefs even if they themselves do not agree with it (at that point in time). Don's 'world' is a picture he paints quite well, actually, and it's a world not really that far off from the 'truth' in my humble opinion. It is a good gateway.

About trusting or not trusting someone's authority, I would put it this way - Those who want to realize their personal sovereignty and live in truth will need to work on letting go of belief systems - even if the beliefs are actual fact.

If you haven't embodied the truth of something, and you just believe IN something, you're not free. It doesn't matter if the greatest expert says something - if we merely believe it, we're not free.

By the same token, if anyone wants to believe something, I don't have any moral judgment about that. If I do, then I'm being captured by the Ahrimanic forces of moralism, which is what the Matrix is all about. No freedom there.

So the only moral code for free people is the one that we generate internally from the truth of who we are. There can be some guidelines while we're still working on divesting ourselves of the false ego, to keep things in working order in the meantime.

But I think that treating people as if they can self-generate responsibility and maturity brings out the best in people. And those who don't want to play in that sandbox soon get bored anyway. I think we've seen that in action many times here.

A healthy community has a healthy immune system to naturally get rid of stuff that doesn't belong. If that's not working correctly, then that needs to be looked at. But if there are other feelings about nonsense being posted, then it's our own feelings that need to be looked at.
