I didn't filled the little steel molds, unfortunately my battery on camera died because of cold so it didn't took the 6 silicone mold picture... well never-mind I made about 46 tbs, I will round them up after they're ready and make another pic of them. Wink

*edit sorry for the legs but my batteries were on the verge of going off and actually they did so I had to be quick

No sorries and no worries, dear fellow

Great to watch your first results. You even managed to keep the resin within the mold. I had to remove layers of flowing out resin before i could dig my tbīs out of their molds. Good luck with these 46 new creations.

If they stick, put them in the freezer. (You can put them in plastic bags so they don't stink up the freezer.) They will usually pop right out. I always feel maternal towards the new babies, and like to hang onto them until I pour the next ones. Congratulations! The babies look fine Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Hello Ruth,

Thank you !! Smile I left them at garage, and it was near 0 celsius when I was pouring so, I expect them to be ready a bit later supposing they are left out overnight, gona check tomorrow @ noon, and I intend to take this walk to nearby woods,

Surely I will take a good care of them and find for each a nice and neat spot Smile

Will you post what you notice before and after gifting your pieces? i also do well in cold weather pours (30-50 degrees maybe and sometimes lower as the pour progresses).
i wonder if there is an energy variation between pieces made in hotter climes and colder climes?

Good work! joyous gifting... tux

Hey there tux,

Thank you! Surely I will post my findings, I live on 11th floor and it was for a long time tallest building around here, so I got a good view 360degrees around and have pinpointed all towers nearby, and gifted the nearest to my home. After checking on how my little presents are doing, am going to extend area a little more, so expect to hear from me! Smile

Well here they are :

I found out what happens when they are left in cold sometimes there are tiny cracks at the bases, at least with the larger ones. luckily I made only 2 Smile The rest turned out to be just fine... and now gifting part awaits

Larger pieces tend to heat up more when curing. That's probably what caused the cracking.

well since the reaction between the hardener and resin is exothermic when it's cold outside and it cools off too fast the material shrinks too fast and voila crack appears Smile

wow! you are rocking! believe me, nothing will ever be the same now for you! how is the cold weather gassing off going? I mean are they staying stinky or is the smell less every day?

I used to use wd-40 as mold release until I misplaced it and had to substitute buttery flavored PAM! hahaha- the PAM released ones seem to have less of an odor to them sooner. Maybe it is in the greasy stuff in the PAM?

Hooray! for your good work!

I went and bought a small bit of resin tonight because you got me thinking about my daily pour days...I think pouring is my favorite part of life along with gifting... Very Happy

Hey there! I am glad that my post did light a little spark inside of you Smile

Unfortunately polyester resin is still same stinking in cold as in warm, nevertheless all of these pieces are intended for environment so that doesn't bother me at all. And I can not tell Very Happy because last time I gifted all of them in 1 day, we got some towers I busted, and I planted some along the gardens in kindergarten and creche (day nursery) they got this awful tower right above them.

I use wd too, at least for the time, but this resin is shrinking when cured so I usually just turn the molds upside down and they all fall out, no probs with that, when pouring with epoxy it's a bit harder haha

I just googled PAM Very Happy haha great nonstcik formula I think we don't have such thing here

I'd love to see what you created with the resin you bought Smile

Dear Eleventhletter,

Another EU-colleague? i am from the netherlands, as you might have guessed from my former gifting reports.
It is pure wealth to watch. For me goes; i just received another package of 40 tbīs. Waiting to be spread.
Beautifull! Your encounter with a squirrel! I met two of them in my backyard. Both of them sitting with a questioning face on the rooftop of a small keep/shelter.
Looking for....probably the strong field of orgonite radiating from my cbīs (yes, more than one) in this keep. I just have the cbīs there just in order to prevent them from falling down, when strong winds might blow them upside down. Once a heavy thunderstorm caused this. As for now it stands its ground with all the stability i could provide it with.

Wishing you generosity in your next gifting run!
