Bismuth metal crystal:

Physical characteristics
Bismuth is a brittle metal with a white, silver-pink hue, often occurring in its native form, with an iridescent oxide tarnish showing many colors from yellow to blue. The spiral, stair-stepped structure of bismuth crystals is the result of a higher growth rate around the outside edges than on the inside edges. The variations in the thickness of the oxide layer that forms on the surface of the crystal causes different wavelengths of light to interfere upon reflection, thus displaying a rainbow of colors. When burned in oxygen, bismuth burns with a blue flame and its oxide forms yellow fumes.[11] Its toxicity is much lower than that of its neighbors in the periodic table, such as lead, antimony, and polonium.

No other metal is verified to be more naturally diamagnetic than bismuth.[11][14] (Superdiamagnetism is a different physical phenomenon.) Of any metal, it has one of the lowest values of thermal conductivity (after manganese, and maybe neptunium and plutonium) and the highest Hall coefficient.[15] It has a high electrical resistance.[11] When deposited in sufficiently thin layers on a substrate, bismuth is a semiconductor, rather than an other metal.[16]

Never been quite able to get this out of my mind.

The most non magnetic metal in The Periodic Table of Elements (Bismuth), layered with magnetically aligned nano iron (very attractive to magnetic energy).

It was a Custom request (by unidentified board member, lol). I make several and send the best. Custom jobs get weird quick. In this case finely powdered Bismuth crystal hampers curing of the resin. This makes the timing between pours variable.

magnetic or diamagnetic?

I'm thinking that a little Bismuth would be a great addition to a succor punch or power wand.

I just found this:

Looks like a fun thing to try if you get some bismuth not in its macrocrystalline state. Smile

Nice coincidence, I was just at a gemstone fair last weekend and bought me a couple of small Bismuth crystals. -->

Unofortunately my camera doesnt seem to be making clear pictures lately. Sad Either way, I love em. I would say that we can see what the alchemists call the Peacock's Tail in them. I'm pretty sure it would make for an interesting starting material in the alchemical process. Smile

And oh yeah, pyrite cubes are awesome too. Wink

Just some more info about bismuth being used in ET craft =] Always use discernment when it comes to info like this of course.

"In 1996, late night radio host Art Bell received a package containing bits of metal that the sender claimed was taken from the crashed UFO found near Roswell, New Mexico in 1947."

"It was discovered that the metal was made up of a magnesium zinc alloy with pure bismuth layers"

"The pure bismuth layers were one to four microns thick in a slightly wavy pattern and nothing else but bismuth was found."

Here is a link to the website where I got this info.

Bismuth sounds like an exciting additive.
Found a nice 5 pound chunk on eBay for 63$.
Going to give it a try into some orgonite.

Well I thought I bought bismuth. Turns out to be something else called antimony. Seller even advertised as being bismuth.
