Im not necessarily looking for real gold but more so the look and metal properties needed for orgone devices. I have been harvesting the local hardware stores key shavings but I am looking for a larger volume of gold colored metal shavings.

So here is me question, what are my options as far real gold, gold leaf and gold colored metal shavings?

Love and light from Denver!

Brass and bronze can be found in very nice colors Smile

You can find painted plastic at Michael's that looks like gold but is not... You can find real gold online and gold leaf is easiest to work with in resin.

Gold leaf can be broken into small pieces by stirring it into the resin. Though expensive, it works very well, particularly on orgonite that is worn on the body.

I'd love to try it.

Do anyone know where can I get gold leaf? I'm from Mexico.
I've search before at Federal District (D.F.) and internet but haven't found any.

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=24k+gold+flake&_osacat=0&_from=R4 0&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313&_nkw=24k+gold+leaf&_sacat=0

I see that didn't found much before cause of instead of searching "gold leaf" y searched as "gold flake".

By the way @Sensei, how many leafs do you use for 1 pendant?

Looks good.

Get the loose leaf, not the one that is sticky on one side.

Some sheets are 3 1/8 inch by 3 1/8 inch. They are the large size. Thai gold is often much smaller, 3.3 X3.3 cm ...postage stamp size.

7 to 10 sheets of the large 3 1/8 inch sheets in 1 oz of resin is pretty good. 10 to 12 sheets per 1 oz. resin if pouring it in a very thin layer.

Break the gold sheets into small pieces by stirring it in the resin , one sheet at a time, with a circular motion
