Has anyone ever experimented with palladium in orgonite? It's a very interesting element, scientifically and culturally. It was in the Iron Man movies as the power source in his mini arc reactor, it was used in the Fleischmann-Pons cold fusion experiments, and so on. On the scientific front, it has a very odd electron configuration. It skipped the 5s sublevel entirely and instead used those two electrons to give it a full 4d sublevel.

Being such an interesting element, I was wondering if anyone had experimented with it in orgonite or elsewhere.

You can find it as a glaze powder in ceramic supply outlets or on line:

Never tried it, but it looks interesting.

Never tried, but it's in the top 3 on my "orgonite to do list".
Palladium leaf is also pretty easy to find online!
go for it.

Talked to Georgie's ceramic supply today- the palladium powder is only available in 25 pound bags, and they must get it from their Portland store, so I didn't get to check it out in person and can't tell you how it looks or feels Sad

Bummer.

Considering that palladium is over $700 for 1 ounce, there's probably not much of it in that powder.

I wondered about this recently as well. They put palladium on spark plugs because (as I understand it), electrons seem to fly off it easier than other metals (less charge required to spark across than others metals). If that's accurate, I wondered if that'd translate at all into orgonite and electrons (or chi?) flying off it easier?

If it really is that expensive... yikes!

Come on people....! It is not as expensive as gold and a lot of people use gold leaf in orgonite, like I said it's available in leaf form. Just google palladium leaf.
In fact I am surprised nobody tried it yet!

I don't consider 180.00 for 25 pounds outrageously expensive. That's only $7.20 a pound:

"25-lb. Dry Dipping Glaze 37164E $180.00"

If five people want to experiment....for 5 pounds each it would come to $36.00 each. The cost of a gal of 3M.

This would be another test that would be fun to make for Sensei's next kirlian photography test. Wink

I've wanted to try iridium or osmium in orgonite for some time now but they are a bit rich for my budget. I think that fact that these metals most likely arrived here from somewhere outside of the planet would have a great effect on the energy of a piece.
